Bash 2

Cinco de Mayo came, went, and ROCKED!  Sure it was ROCKY for awhile, and when it all seemed to be too much, we just kept the Dewey Finn/Mr. Schneebly sentiment in mind  - "One great rock show can change the world!" Consider the world changed!

Of course change and "a great rock show" take time, planning, energy, talent, and a little bit of luck helps too. Everyone knows the weather can be unpredictable, but thankfully the heat we expected was very mild, so mother nature cooperated beautifully.  Perhaps it was the luck of the "Supermoon" which was out that night, shining lots of light on our Bash 2 guests.

Much of the hardest work was all the labor required prior to the event.  Rob and I both took Friday off to purchase the final necessities and supplies, and to cook all the food.  We also loaded the u-haul and took some of the inventory over to Aaron's house, to alleviate the work load on Saturday.

Our formal living room served as the staging area before the gear traveled to its rock destination.

As the sun set, the super moon rose, and it was nearing time to begin.

This was also the very hectic time when guests are arriving, and you're trying to greet them, warm and put the food out, and prepare for performing.  It's a tough gig!  I tried to snap pictures of people before it or I got too busy.

So you've seen the process from start to finish.  How about some video proof?  Luckily I caught a few videos before I became too busy  sidetracked.  Rob started the show off with "Breakin' the Law."

I hope that whets your appetite for now.  We need time to edit the video camera for the entire set, which is a long process, but very important to us.
