Let It Rain at a Red Light

Recent posts have been all about Samour produced music, which may be interesting, but certainly not the best example of musicianship.  But yesterday was a banner day as they say, as Sienna and I enjoyed two amazing country artists at our local favorite honky tonk - Toby Keith's.  So finally you'll hear and see some professional recording artists.  Yeah!

Our night started with a walk past David Nail's trailer, the man headlining the show.

Then it was dinner time for the girls.

After dinner it was time to stake a claim on the dance floor and wait for the opening act.  Although we had never heard of him, Canaan Smith captured our hearts from the start.  Check out his charisma and chops...

We even got to meet him after the show!  Here he is smiling for us before signing an autograph.

Check out the message he wrote.  What a sweetie!  You can see why we're smitten..

Then it was time for David Nail, whom we'd already seen twice, but never in such an intimate venue.

That was his big hit, "Let It Rain," and here is another called "Red Light."

Here are a couple of my favorite pictures.

As you can see, my vantage point was pretty darn good.  I'll leave you with one more video, David's cover of Gavin DeGraw's "I Don't Wanna Be."  The keyboardist/pianist shines in this song.

It was a great night!  Music with David, Canaan, and Sienna created unforgettable moments.
