A Birthday Boy's Work is Never Done

Spenser had a doozy of a birthday, having an 8 a.m. call time at Perry, instead of getting to sleep in and hibernate like a usual Saturday morning.  But he took it like a trooper. 

First off was a percussion clinic at Highland High School.

They were back to Perry for lunch where they met up with the rest of the regiment in preparation for their first competition at Mesquite High School.  It ended up being a wash-out, with yet another rainstorm making a mess of the valley.  All performances were moved indoors, which meant music only, no movement.
